Mt. Nebo

Mt. Nebo lies twenty minutes west of Madaba, the Memorial of Moses believed to be the site of Moses’ death and its burial place. Early Byzantine Christians built a small church in the top expanded later on in a monastery complex. From the plateau in the front there is a breathtaking view over the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. On a clear day the towers of Jerusalem can be visible.
